[ninf-users:00101] Ninf-G 4.0.0 beta 1 is now available
Dear all,
We are pleased to announce that the Ninf-G version 4.0.0 beta 1
(Ninf-G4.0.0b1) is now available for download at the Ninf project
home page
http://ninf.apgrid.org/
Ninf-G4 is a reference implementation of the GridRPC API, a proposed
GGF standard, and it provides higher-level programming APIs for
development and execution of parallel applications on the Grid.
Being built on top of the GT4, Ninf-G4 launches remote processes via
WS-GRAM.
In addition to the Globus Toolkit, Ninf-G4 is able to launch remote
processes via the other Grid middleware such as UNICORE. In order to
implement this feature, Ninf-G4 has introduced invocation server for
remote process invocation. C Client in Ninf-G 4.0.0b1 utilizes the
invocation server, which will be used by Java client in the next
release.
Although the architecture of Ninf-G4 is different with the past
release of Ninf-G, client applications and IDL are compatible with the
past versions.
If you have any questions, comments, please send emails to
ninf@apgrid.org .
Sincerely,
