Hi everybody
I am a member of a group that is making an academic work about ninf-g on our University in Brazil. Our main objective is to analyse the performance of the middleware and the viability of the implementation of GridRPC model.
We are using the Globus Toolkit 4 with Ninf 2.4. We currently have some machines with Linux CentOS (a RHE4-like compilation) and others with FreeBSD. We've installed most of the components of GT4 and we are in doubt of what are the modules that Ninf actually uses. We have compiled it with the '--prewsmds' option and until now we identified that it uses the Java Core, the Pre WS MDS and the Globus GateKeeper. If we want to run simple mathematical functions using the Ninf, are there any other GT components necessary?
By the way, we are studying the BLAST software that makes ADN chains comparisions and we'd like to try converting it to use Ninf for performance test. Do you think that it would that be possible?
